As players, you start the season with optimism knowing good and damn well, it's going to be a roller coaster of ups and downs, triumphs and disappointments, elation and misery. If you were lucky to make it into the playoffs then you are on high, if you didn't I'm sorry you have an offseason of questions doubt and hopefully rebirth for a better season next year.
Today it's about playing a near-perfect game, to move to the finals.
Nothing changes from earlier in the season. It's desire, smarts, and cajones.
The QB that locks onto receivers is still going to lock in and tell you where the ball is going. The defensive back, who can't cover, who still looks in the backfield, can't backpedal, still can't cover even on this most glorious day. "Guess what?" It doesn't matter because if can't take advantage of this moment and send a slot to take the safety away and expose Mr. No Coverage, you're going to lose.
The smart offences and defences will add wrinkles, they will adjust on the fly, and they will throw tired old game plans out the window to win the day.
Because at the end of it all, we don't roll out of bed, and fight our way through traffic to finish the season for the "experience."
Losers play for the experience, winners play to WIN. That's the difference between winners and losers. The difference between the two can be summed up in 4 immortal words by a Compton Philosopher and poet
"THEY NOT LIKE US." Good Luck to the
Gators, Cards, Silverbacks, and Titans Have a great day
